No newsletter this week
Title says it all
So, there won’t be a newsletter this week. I aspired to get it done, but various work and home stuff snuffed that idea. Summer has a way of making open stretches of time vanish. Anyway, there will be a newsletter next week that covers this week and next.
If you’d like, you could listen to this week’s 5 Minute Volcano episode on the Andean volcano Llullaillaco.
I’ll leave you with some new volcano-inspired music from fellow Oregon State Ph.D. volcanologist Barry Walker. We shared a field area in the high Andes of norther Chile at Aucanquilcha (and have even co-authored a paper!) Barry is well known in the Portland music scene as a current and former member of bands like the Rose City Band, Roselit Bone and Barry Walker & the Tanks. His new EP (as the Barry Walker Unit) was recorded on this year’s anniversary of the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption and was inspired by the cataclysm.
